There are several other things that you might consider doing that will help us continue our goal to inform all animal owners.
1) Tell all your friends to visit our site and become informed. Animal Rights extremism thrives on ignorance. You can even e-mail them from our site by clicking on either button below:

2) Keep us informed of any legislation proposals in your area that would affect animal ownership or owners rights. You are there and we aren't. Many times these things are "railroaded" through to avoid opposition. (It is much easier to prevent a bad law then it is to repeal one) Local (city, county, etc) proposals will never come to our attention without your impute. These laws, when passed may have the greatest affect on you personally. Feel free to post these proposals on our message board, let others know! Click on the button below to post your message on our board.

3) If you have a website or some say in one, please consider joining our new sponsors program as explained on this page . We will give you a link back (and hopefully some visitors) as our way of thanking you.

4) If you have a pet or animal web site, consider applying for our Owners Rights Award as explained on our site. It isn't easy to get since you need to take a stand against Animal Rights extremism and MUST say so on your web site. An example of such a statement would be something like: "We support the right of people to own animals, as long as they do so in a responsible way" This may include any activities that you engage in. (such as breeding, exhibiting, rodeoing, hunting, raising livestock, etc.) If interested in winning our award, Apply here

5) Vote for us! We engage in several voting contests with this web site. These contests, sometimes referred to as "site fights", help draw visitors to our web site. (hopefully, they look at what they are voting for or against) Some of these contests improve your rating and make your site easier to find or give you awards. When you vote for us, you help us, thanks. Please take the time to go to our voting page and see what contests we are currently competing in.

6) Send someone a e-mail post card from our website. By doing so you will not only brighten their day, but you will also send them to our site. This service is FREE and they have some really nice post cards that you can customize with your own messages or use their wording. To send a post card Click Here.

7) Post your opinions (everyone has some) on our message board, so others can reply. We promise not to delete any comments that are posted on the board according to the simple rules posted. (no name calling, flaming or profanity) even if we disagree with you. :-)

8) Join our Group at Yahoo. It is called Why NOT Animal Rights? It is an open forum. This club has a message board and a chat room and is located right in the middle of a directory of Animal Rights Groups. We want them to know the differences, too. ~grin~

9) We added this litte quick poll to our web site. You can vote on some interesting subjects dealing with our web site and group and see instantly what other people think as well.

10) Sign up to recieve our newletter, "The Animal Owners News:
We used to maunally maintain several mailing lists. The job just got too big and after much looking found a list server that we like. If you add your e-mail address below, we can keep you up to date on major upgrades to this web site and other news that is important to animal and pet owners.

11) We have put together some nice stores that sell pet and animal related products and services. You buy these items anyway and doing so helps us reach our goal of getting the word out. You can view these stores now.So, LETS GO SHOPPING!! - Browsers & Window shoppers are welcome, too!

We have made arrangements to supply Animal Owners United logos and graphics to be put on clothing and other items. Here is a good chance to let people know that you believe in animal and pet owners rights! We have kept the prices as low as possible. Stop and take a look. A new window will open so that you can close it when you are done and come right back here.Take a Look: A.O.U. STORE

12) This is an idea that we have resisted since Animal Owners United was first formed in late 1998. We are a very small group workers with a lot of faithful supporters. We are very greatful for that support, unfortunally the economic times have hindered our efforts to get the word out about the differences between animal rights and animal welfare. We feel that it is critical that we do so. If you feel the same way, we can use your help! Any member that helps support our mission will recieve special updates, as well as the latest news about our group. Supporting members will also see where the money goes and what for. (We think that is only fair.) We will state that all support will be used for website and promotion. We have some great plans for this year. This is though Pay Pals a FREE Internet money transfere service. Your personal information is protected that way. We respect your privacy!
Thank you again for your help. Volunteer organizations like ours depend upon such help. We do not have a 38+ million dollar per year budget like the other side does. We have a very small staff that is strictly volunteers, no paid help. :-(
