Who We Are

Animal Owners United started as a small group at Planet All. Planet All is a community on that Internet that has over 16,000 special interest groups. The members of these groups correspond by e-mail and post messages to each other. The founder noticed that there were several groups that supported Animal Rights but not one that opposed their viewpoint. In order to show the differences between these view points there, an other group had to be formed, namely Animal Owners United. This site is continued outreach on the Internet to educate more animal owners to the Animal Rights "hidden agenda". We will not attempt to duplicate what other sites on other anti-animal rights webrings have already published on the Internet. Instead, we encourage all our visitors to follow the links from one site to another. There is great information out there. We will attempt to "wet your appetite" so that you will follow the links below and learn more.

These are some webrings and other groups that stand up for owners rights. If you know of any others, please e-mail us, so that we can add them to the above list.

Statement of Principles

From time to time, we are are asked, "Does Animal Owners United believe in ......". The truth is our members can believe in what ever they want. :-) Actually, the board of Animal Owners United does have agreement on what they believe. I will list them below.

We believe in:
1. The PROPER and Humane treatment of ALL animals. (animal welfare)
2. The human right to ownership and use of said animals.
3. This right shall NOT be infringed upon unless there is animal cruelty.
4. We oppose interference by governmental and other groups that would push their beliefs and laws upon us.

I hope this helps! Actually the that list can be personally expanded by each member. For example, I personally support and oppose the following, yet many of our members would not agree totally with me and that is OK, too.

I support: Breeding, Training, Showing, Hunting, Zoos, Medical research, Rodoes, eating meat, wearing furs and animal products, etc. (This is NOT to say that I do all these things, just that I support the right of the people who choose to do so)

I oppose: Ciruses, unnatural animal acts, Puppy and cat mills, Pet stores (that sell animals), backyard breeding, wholesale breeding, cosmetic research, arming and giving police powers to private animal control officers, etc.

I am sure that if I thought longer, I could add more. The important thing is to see where we agree and work from there, together. Many animal rights people are surprised to see that there is agreement with one that they feel opposes them. All they have to do is look deeper. We all love animals. start there .... If you feel that you MUST respond to my personal statement, my e-mail is at the bottom of this page. :-)

Some people might think that because we oppose the animal rights movement that we are against spaying and neutering of pets and do not support protection of animals. Nothing could be further from the truth. Please take the time to see what animal welfare causes that we support by Clicking Here

A candle burns for all mistreated
and abused animals.

How many people who support Animal Rights organizations, do so without knowing their real agenda? The total elimination of our beloved pets! These people refuse to even call them pets preferring the more distant and clinical term "Companion Animal".

The music that you hear is Richard Wagner: "The Ride of the Valkyrie". In the great movie "Apocalyse One" this music was was used a ralling cry to the heliocoper gunships as they were attacking. Animal owners need to rally together (like this group has) to protect their rights and become more aware of what is happening.
