Geocities Awards and Honors
This page of awards is very special to us, since it was at Geocities that first learned how to design our Web Page. We are greatful for the help that we got there. Even though we are no longer at Geocities, we are proud to display these awards that we won. Many of these were NOT easy to get!
Webmaster's note: When we first started putting our award up on the site, we had listed them with the oldest ones first. Many of these websites have moved or become inactive. If these people will contact us, we will be glad to link their award back to their new websites. We have not actively sought any awards since about summer of 1999, but if we get any new ones, we will proudly display them on a new page, making them easier to find.
March 1998
This is a group of select Heartland web sites. By clicking on the

listed by catagories. Ours, of course is a "pet" site.
April 1998
Their website moved or no longer active :-(
This award is given by the Heartland Pet Gazette (a geocities newpaper)
to the pet site recieving the most votes during the week long contest.
We found out it was a lot of work recruiting votes. We managed to
win the weekly contest on the last day coming from behind. Three
weeks later we wer competing in the monthly contest. Although,
we didn't win that one, we had a lot of fun and had a lot of new
visitors to our website. We would like to thank all the wonderful
people that voted for this site in the Heartland Pet Award
contests. If you have a pet site at Geocities/Heartland, click
on the award and go enter the contest for your site.
June 28, 1998
This is a very special group of Geocities sites that has passed a
strict review process, judging the site on both design and content.
There are several bonuses offered by geocities to qualifing sites.
The program is ending shortly and we were one of the last sites to
qualify. There is a new award program starting soon in it's place
called "The Best Of Geocities Award".
July 14, 1998

This award is presented weekly to the two best websites
in the Heartland Community. We applied and won on the first try!

The music you hear is called "Alley Cat". Some of us own "alley" cats
that were strays and unwanted, but you took them in
and gave them a decent home. There should
be a special reward for people like that. :-)
